Contract Administrators

Contract administrators act as a neutral third party in building projects. Whilst they are appointed by the client, they have to act fairly and with integrity to ensure fairness between the contractor and the client.

A building contract is a written legal document that sets out the terms on which the works will be implemented such as when the works are to be finished and the cost.

The contract administrator usually recommends the best form of contract for the works involved and prepares the contract for the parties to sign. The contract administrator calculates how much interim and final payments are and issues a certificate confirming how much is due.

Contract administrators also monitor the progress and quality of the work.

Contract Administrators or CA as they are sometimes referred to, generally act on commercial projects but can also act on domestic projects. Jaram Associates mainly deal with commercial projects and some of our clients have included The Salvation Army, Wykeland Property and Wyke College.
